What it is
A galactomannan gum obtained from the endosperm of tara seeds and used mainly as a thickener and stabiliser.
Why BOTIA flags it
Tara gum is obtained from the seed of a Peruvian tree. It thickens by retaining water, and it is often used together with other gums because they work better in combination. The body does not digest it.
