Pork and ingredients explicitly derived from pigs, including lard, porcine gelatine or collagen, fats, proteins, stocks and extracts.
Why BOTIA flags it
BOTIA flags explicit pork and porcine terms because Codex CXG 24-1997 lists pigs and boars, including their products and derivatives, among sources considered unlawful for use of a halal claim. BOTIA detects declared ingredient terms; it does not certify halal status.
BOTIA CAN
